| The National Center for Emergency Preparedness at Vanderbilt University Medical Center is committed to serving our nation’s emergency response efforts with the highest quality of support services available. - To facilitate multidisciplinary faculty team working together to integrate response efforts using an “all-hazards” approach (from hospitals and public health sectors; public and private sectors; military and nonmilitary; state, regional, federal, and international sectors)
- To facilitate the systematic development of curricula related to mass casualty incidents as they influence the public health infrastructure and impact on nursing practice, education, research and regulation.
- To enhance education outreach to local communities (including concerned citizens, educators, health professionals, elected officials, clergy and other religious leaders, and the news media) on public health / disaster management issues that affect them.
